This ninestars trash can product is warranted for 2 years. But you have to Pay to have it shipped back. The open/close sensor has gotten weak and is a pain to make it activate. I believe the warranty statement in the ad is misleading. The ad states" Unconditional 2-year 】hassle Free process with our dedicated customer service line at no additional charges for your defective parts." Upon, reading the fine print on the warranty and discovering the return requirements, warranty service seems anything but "unconditional and hassel free". So, This can has worked well for over a year and looks good. Just know the warranty info is BS.

This is the second one of these that we have purchased in approximately 4 years. The only reason we purchased the second one is because we moved to a new home and gave our older one to our son in college. I love this trash can; it is so useful when cooking or when hands are full. I prefer trash cans with covers as they reduce odors and germs. I no longer keep our garbage concealed under our sink or cabinetry because it attracts bugs. This garbage can is a perfect solution- it is attractive, modern, and hands free. I plan on purchasing one as a housewarming gift for our other son. It is practical and guests comment positively on it.

This can worked great for 2 months! Now it barely opens and we have to turn it off then back on to get it to open even after putting fresh batteries in!! So frustrating! The whole purpose for the trash can is for “hands free”!! It is definitely NOT hands free anymore!!

Bought this a year ago on June 2020. Lid didn't work when I got it. Got it replaced and it worked fine until today also have not had to replace the batteries yet.
